Nowadays, the amount of obesity is increasing in North America. It is obvious that fast food shops such as McDonald’s and KFC are increasing. I think these problems are caused by society. There are three reasons: too many commercials and advertisements, too much work for people, and high cot of healthy foods.

There are too many commercials and advertisements of fast food shops in our society. We can see a lot of advertisements all over roads; in addition, they can make us hungry and thirsty. They give us presser to eat and drink to get more money. There are some fast food shops, so companies are doing competition between them. It become easy to eat if people see commercials or advertisements.

These days, some people don’t have much time to eat because they have to do too much work. Society gives people too much work, and it makes people really busy. We don’t spend so much time to eat fast food; in addition, fast foods are easy to eat. Thus, people don’t need to spend time to cook. It’s really convenient, however, it’s not good for our health.

We can avoid unhealthy food if we try to get organic foods, vegetables. However, healthy foods are too expensive so people can’t get them so often. Fast food is so cheap because it doesn’t have enough nutrition. Consequently, society has to think of the price of healthy foods.

Obesity can create an uncomfortable life. People should not have too much fast food, or we can’t stop the increase of obesity. The society gives effects to people by using commercials and advertisements, so society ought to reduce them.

Long Time No Write!

Hey!! How's going, everybody?? Long time no write!!haha

I haven't post blog for 2 months... I was just busy and a little lazy ;) haha I had a lot of fun in this 2 months but I had farewell with my friends :(
Almost my friends went back to Japan to do job hunting… So now, I’m really missing them soooooo much. Come back to Halifax, everyone------ !!! haha I can’t stop crying when they left, but I realized that nothing is going positive way even if I cry. So I stop crying and I always tell myself, “Be Positive, Be strong!!” Do you think so? Now, just hope my friends’ happiness and good luck with their life and job hunting.

Oh, I visited NY during Christmas season; Dec.24-Dec.26!! I had so much fun and NY is really big city!! There are lots of buildings with many kinds of advertisements around Times Square. We ate New York cheese cake at Roxy which is famous restaurant. It was really nice and cheese cake was so tasty!! But… it was too big for us so it was like we were doing food fight… haha

Developed countries

Today, the people of the world have become more informed about each other and interconnected. People want to know more information and they can search on the internet or cell phones. In developed countries, wherever people are and whenever people want, they can use internet and search about a lot of things. Our societies are becoming more convenience. The more informed a country becomes, the more developed a country becomes.

People are trying to know different cultures and to adapt new things. Today, a lot of people are interested in different cultures and learning about them. For example, some people go abroad to study another languages and culture. In Japan, the amount of people who is studying abroad is increasing. Almost all of them are trying to learn English because English is common language in the world. We can speak and know each other by using English. People want to develop and improve themselves and this is one of factors that the people are becoming more informed. But people should not complain about different cultures; in other words, people should adapt to and understand those cultures.

There are some developed countries and some developing countries. In developed countries, people can feel comfortable in their life because people are more informed each other. People always try to know many kind of information. Today, people often use this word; “globalization”. Globalization is to spread information or economy beyond borders. So people try to develop to become more informed. The earth is getting more global.

There are a lot of problems in the world. For example, environmental problem is one of them. They make people in the world very informed because people need a lot of information to fix the earth. But it is not easy and it takes huge time. Problems are also one of factors and we should cooperate with each other. The problems are not good things, but people should solve problems as soon as possible.

A country becomes more developed if a country becomes informed. We have a lot of factors to become more informed and interconnected than ever before. However, it is the most important that people in the world cooperate with each other and solve problems without competition.

Thanksgiving!!

I had a good thanksgiving dinner with my roommate. She invited me her home and it was first time to have a thanks giving dinner. It was really good because I could eat turkey!! Turkey was really tasty ;) I talked a lot with her family and they were interested in Japanese, so I explained many things!! I was really glad and I think I should know more about Japanese culture. My roommate, Kelly took me the Cow Bay after dinner. Cow Bay was really beautiful place!! Kelly and I took a lot of pictures!! She can drive so we were driving for a while. I had really good time and I want to visit her house again ;) I really appreciate her and I think it is good for me that she is my roommate. I am lucky!!hehe

Japan doesn’t have thanksgiving but I think we should have such a day because I think it is important for us to stay with our family and talk with each other.

Ｈｕｕｕｕｕ！

Oh, today is October 6th ?!?! I can’t believe!! The time is spending to fast ;(

Thursday is called Chicken Wings Day!! In famous restaurant which is near the university, we can eat chicken wings by half price ;) So last week, Peter and Mike invited me the chicken wings dinner and I had a good time!! It was soooooo tasty ;) I will go this week with my friends so I am looking forward that.

Recently I like to go walking in Halifax ;) I think Halifax is really good place to live. Half of people in Halifax are student!!! That’s why there are too many young people!! So there are many universities here.

What is LOVE?

Love is like drinking water. If you drink a lot of water, that will be too much for you and you will stop drinking right away. However, if you love somebody too much or the other person loves you so much, you will get rid of that relationship right away and you won’t love anymore. I think it's gonna be funny if you just love yourself to let other people love you and that's the important part.

Love is like a maze. You gotta find the way out to win the person’s heart and then you can get the person that you love and share one heart together.

How do you think about LOVE?? I think these words are really good. My friend taught me. What is ‘LOVE’ for you? I think there are some kinds of LOVEs.

October is coming!

Today, it was really good weather in Halifax and it is last day of September. So I wanted to go Public Garden which is famous park in Halifax because it will close from October. But I could not , for I had to make my presentation ;( It is about my future job. Actually, this was my first time to make presentation :( haha So my friends who came across in the library taught me how to make them. I don’t like the presentation… no, no, it’s joking!!! I love it!!! Be positive!!haha~

By the way, I really enjoyed chatting with Cono and Shiori yesterday. Facebook is awesome, isn’t it?? ;) Actually, Gmail does not work well sometimes so I have to wait a little. It makes me so tired. But it’s OK :) I don’t care about that. I want to chat in facebook again :)

Revel's birthday party :)

I had my friend’s birthday party today. His name is Revel. He is Chinese and he can speak Japanese well. Of course, he can speak English. He is liked everyone because he is so kind and funny. We gave him some SMU’s T-shirt with massages. He looked so happy. I went back to the residence with Revel and Hikaru and we talked a lot. He taught me some Chinese words and songs. It was so interesting!! Happy Birthday, Revel! Have a good year ;)

TENKASU

I don’t like this!! This is cereal which is fat free. I bought this one just because it was cheap!! BUT!! It is like TENKASU ;( Can you imagine TENKASU with milk?? I have had one!! And it was this morning!! I will give this to someone who likes this cereal.

Do you like cereals? I didn’t like it when I was in Japan, but I like it now. I have it almost every morning because it is easy to make. BUT I don’t like this one which is like TENKASUUUUUU!! I am sorry to the company… ;(

My happy weekend☆

Hey guys!! How’s going?? I had a great party last Friday ;) It was really fun and I had a great time with my friends!! The party was for Mike’s birthday and he looked so happy :) I also felt happy to see him. He has a lot of Japanese friends so there were many Japanese people!! First, we went to Yuta’s house and talked a lot!! Yuta is from Kansai and he lives here about 6 months. Everyone respects him and he is like our older brother!! I like his ‘Suberanai hanashi’. If you hear his stories, you can’t stand laughing!! His stories are sooooo interesting! After that, we went to the club♪In Canada, 19 years old is overage so I can enter the club!! But I don’t have my dress so my clothes were so terrible ;( I have to buy my dress!! There, we danced and drunk :) My friend, Hikaru was too drunk and he punched to the wall X( It looked so painful!! But it was funny ;)haha The club was so safety because there were a lot of securities. I went back to the residence with Peter and Hikaru. Peter studied at KGU so I knew him before I came here. He is a tutor of TESL and every student likes him because he is really kind. We talked about Kumamoto and Peter wants to go Kumamoto again. I understood him because I think Kumamoto is really good place to live :)

This weekend is going to be end… I could have a great weekend!! Next week, I will have a lot of homework but I can do it because next weekend is waiting for me!!haha It’s just joking but I want to study hard next week, too. Next Tuesday, I will go to the Kanji Class of Canadian and Japanese society. I can’t wait it!!

Today is rainy day X( But Canadian usually don’t have an umbrella because they don’t have heavy rain. So I also don’t have an umbrella because I want to be used to Canadian life!!

Anyway, today is Friday!! Yeah~ ;) I have 2 parties today :) The one is with Chinese and Koreans and another is my friend’s birthday party!! However, I have to do a lot of homework this weekend… I will have a presentation about my future job and I have to read a lot of sentences!! Be positive!! They will make my English skill better!!

My roommate, Kelly is sleeping because she had 2 parties last night. Shhhhh… She has parties every weekend J she is really active girl!!

I have made an account!!

It was really good weather today!! I went to Spring Garden Road to go to RBC. RBC, Royal Bank of Canada is one of famous bank in Halifax. SMU has their ATM so it is really convenient for me! I had appointment with RBC at 4:00 and the class was finished at 3:30. I ran to RBC because it takes about 20 minutes by foot. I left my residence at 3:45. It was nice exercise :Dhaha In the bank, the banker, Nick was so gentleman so I could make an account without problem. I was so happy! But I can’t understand what debit card is because I have never used it. So I will ask my friend tomorrow how to use it!

I made homburg tonight and it was OK. I want to eat my mother’s one!! I have to improve my cooking skill!! I will be good at cooking next May :) haha

Taylor Swift

Do you know Taylor Swift who is a country singer? She is a really famous singer in the United States and her CD is sold in Japan. She has a lot of famous songs and my favorite song is “You belong with me”. This song is really good and the music video is so cool!! Taylor is so cute and the actor whose name is Lucas Till is so cool :) I love them!!! You should search on youtube right now!!haha I really recommend you to listen this songJ Girls must be impressed and sympathize with its lyrics ! I bought her CD in Canada. I think all CDs in Canada are cheaper than those of Japan. It was cost me only $15.00 J:D So I was really surprised and happy.

If you never listen her songs, you should :) I love Taylor Swift!!

Mic Mac Mole :)

My Canada life is becoming really happy because I could make a lot of friends. They are really kind and so funnyJ Next week I am going to go 2 parties!! I am really looking forward that!!

Today, I went shopping with my friend, Tiffany. She is Korean and she also come here to study English. We went Mic Mac Mole in Halifax. This is famous shopping mole in Halifax and now a lot of stores sell cheaper!! There is H&M in Mic Mac. Do you know H&M? This is really famous cloth shop and there are 2 H&Ms in Tokyo. They sell really cute clothes, shoes, and accessories. I love H&M!! I bought a shoulder bag and neck less. I am so happy to get themJ Tiffany and I talked in the coffee shop. It was so fun! After that, we went back to our residence. I had a good time with TiffanyJ Next month, I am going to buy warm clothing and boot.

By the way, I have to make an account here. To do that, I had to make an appointment with the bank. The bank I will make an account is named RBC. I did not know where is RBC so Hikaru who is my friend took me there. Hikaru is from Kansai Gaikokugo University and is sooooo funny!! I could make an appointment on next Tuesday without some problems. Thank you HikaruJ I am worrying about Tuesday but I hope I can do it!!

I have a lot of homework today so I have to study a lot tonight X( But it must be good for me!!!

CANADA

I am in Halifax, Canada!! I am going to TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) of Saint Mary’s University and I live in University residence. In residence, I live with tree Canadian girls. They are Kelly, Kate, and Lyne. They are really kind to me and funny and cute girlsJ I always appreciate them. Gina, Peter, Rachel, and Lexy who studied at KGU are in Saint Mary’s University. Peter is a teacher of TESL so I meet him every day and speak a lot. Gina teaches a lot of thing about SMU and Halifax. Recently, I went to Starbucks in Halifax with Gina and we spoke a lot of things. She can speak Japanese very well :D I want to go shopping with her again! Mio, who comes here with me, and I stayed at Rachel’s house about 3 days before we started to live in residence. Rachel’s house are really cute and we had a good timeJ She has 2 cats and they are really cute!!

In SMU, there is Tim Hortton which is like Misudo in Japan. I love Tim Hortton!! It is really famous in Canada and small coffee is sold $1.00!! I think it is cheaper than that of Japan!! I go there almost every day with my friends. But, I should not go too much because I will get fat if I eat donuts everyday X(haha Be careful, UNOOOOO!!

By the way, I want to meet my KGU friends!!!! I can’t wait next May~X( I miss you, guys!!!!
