Essay 1-02b; University Life

There are a lot of university students in Japan and they learn many things everyday. People say that university life is really important and memories with university friends become our treasure in the future. Actually, my university life is really fun and I learn a lot of things from my experiences. We can experience a lot of things in our university life. For example, part-time job, clubs, classes, trips, studying abroad, and so on!! We can make a lot of friends in club activity.

I belong to tea ceremony club. Tea ceremony is one of Japanese cultures so I wanted to try to it and I decided to belong to this club. There are a lot of clubs in my university. Most of students belong to club. When we have school festival, we make many things with our club friends. It is really fun and I enjoyed a school festival very much last year. We practice tea ceremony every Monday. It is really difficult to make green tea, but we enjoy practicing. We can have Japanese cake before we drink a green tea. It is so good and it matches with green tea. I could make a lot of friends in my club and we talk each other a lot of times in a week. I love the time with my club friends. I would like to make many memories.

Other students also belong to various clubs. They enjoy their club activities with their friends. All of clubs have welcome party for freshman in May. Freshman should introduce their selves and boys have to do an interesting thing called Ippatsu-gei. It is really fun and become happy memories. In clubs, students do their best to achieve their aims. For example, in sports club, students practice a lot of times because the want to win. They learn many things from that practice. if we belong to club, university life become more fun!!

There are a lot of students who don’t belong to clubs. If we don’t belong to clubs, we can study a lot of times and work at part-time job much time. It is really good for students to have a lot of times to study. Because they don’t have club activity, they can take a lot of time to work. But they shouldn’t take too much time to work, or they can’t study. Student’s real work is to study!

Club is one of activity which makes our university life fun. We should try a lot of things and learn many things. University life will become unforgettable memories for us. So we should enjoy everyday and experience a lot of things! University life will make our own future.

BR 1-05: Little Women

‘Little Women’ is one of the famous novels in the world. It was written by Louisa M. Alcott. In Japan, this book called ‘Wakakusa Monogtari’ I know the title of this novel because it is famous, but I had never read it. So I think it is important to know famous novels. There are 4 sisters in Massachusetts and they are Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. They are really good sisters and they always be with. I think brothers or sisters are really important for us. In this story, 4 sisters are always thinking of each other. I have 3 brothers and I don’t have any sisters, so I envied to have sisters.

‘Love is more important than money.’ In this story, these words are written again and again. I don’t know about that because I don’t have knowledge about love.

I think Little Women was a really nice novel because I could sympathize with 4 sisters.

BR 1-04: The Woman who Disappointed

Today, I introduce ‘The Woman who Disappointed’. This is a suspense story and it made me exciting!! The reason why I read it was that I like suspense stories. What kind of story do you like the best? :)

The hero of this story is Mike. Mike is a private detective and he can solve a lot of troubles. One day, a woman visited him to ask him to look for her sister. But it was really complex trouble and he confused. Finally, he could solve this trouble but there were many happenings…

I like the suspense story which the hero is a private detective. So this book was really interesting for me. But I think troubles which happening in the world are not good. So a trouble which is like in this book should not happen, especially a murder case!!

Essay 1-02a; My university life

I’m a student of KGU and I enjoyed my university life everyday. I study about English and linguistics and It is interesting to study them. I would like to improve my English skill and speak English more fluently so I’ll do my best!!

I belong to tea ceremony club and we practice every Monday. It is really difficult for me to do, but I take efforts with my friends. I’m really fun when I stay with friends of the club. We have a lot of opportunity to talk with other club’s friends, so we can make friends!! Because I belong to the club, I can make a lot of friends and I have a very good time with them.

I live in Kikuchi, which is very far from KGU. So I have to get up early when I have 1st class and it is not easy for me. But it is not good to be late for the class, so I have to!! My school life is really busy, but I can enjoy now!! I love my friends, I like to study a little, and I love my school life!!

I think Saki’s essay is good. She gives many questions to the host family. Host family will be interested in her introduction because she writes about her appearance. It is very easy to understand! I think it is important to give questions. Her questions are very easy so I can understand. I would like to give my appearance if I have opportunity to give self-intriductions.

Writing I-II

In Writing I-Ⅱ, I could learn a lot of things about English. First, when we write an essay, we should make some paragraph. If we make them, paragraphs make the essay easy to understand. So it is very important to make them. Second, we should take attention to prepositions. Prepositions also make the sentence easy to understand and I think it is important to use a correct prepositions. Finally, it is not good to begin same words each sentence. If all sentences begin ‘I’, we are very boring to read. So we should make a variation. For example, we can use conjunction, change the subject, and so on.

I think English writing is difficult for Japanese, but we can improve our writing skill if we write a lot of essays. So I’ll do my best in Writing III.

BR 1-03: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Do you know Charlie and Chocolate Factory? It is a fantasy of chocolate factory. This story became a movie and became most famous movie in the world. Johnny Depp performed Willy Wonka who is a leader of the factory, and his acting was grate! I thank it was really interesting movie.

Charlie is a poor boy and he lives with parents and grandparents. Charlie has a dream…he want to go to the factory; Willy Wonka’s chocolate Factory. He has to get a gold ticket which is only 5 in the world to go to there. He can’t buy chocolates because he doesn’t have much money, but he found some money in the street. It was dropped by someone! He goes to the shop and bought a chocolate…the gold ticket is in the chocolate!!!! He is really happy!!!!! He goes to the factor with his grandfather. His grandfather worked at the factory when he was young, so he also was glad to hear tha he could go to the factory. There are another 4 children and their parents who can enter the factory. But Charlie is only poor boy in the 5. Other children are all rich and they are really strange girls or boys. Charlie has to enter and communicate with them. Willy Wonka is sooooooooo strange and crazy man. But I like his personality because he is very pure. Charlie experiences a lot of exiting things there!! Chocolate liver, so many Oompa-Loompas; which are really strange but cute dwarves, balloon gums, and so on!! Oompa-Loompas are Wonka’s friends and hey respect him. They are really small and interesting! I love them!!

I think this story is really interesting and fantastic! Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors, so I was very glad to watch the movie. He was really cool!! I think his acting is excellent!! Have you watched this movie? If you haven’t, you should watch soon!!
